- Do you think a business organization need to build up
management policies?!
- Have you heard people complimenting like this?! 👉「It is a company that has organized policies, everyone wants
to be its employees.」
- Have you ever complained like this👉「There is no work policies in our company, the work
instruction changes every minute.」, or,「How come we need
to ask OOO(a person) before every work step, our company really doesn’t have
any policy!」.
- You may have heard of situation similar to the following case
K?! If you are a job seeker, are you interested in company K?!
Recently (2022/2~2022/3), my friend, F, shared with me there
is a company K emphasized on how they manage the company in the work interview:
K doesn’t need policies, neither, there is
no fixed policies in this company, the work operation is flexible
and not rigid, we hope could use this situation to attract all kinds of
talents to join K. More than that, we
invite key employees to participate in the discussion if there is big events,
and we make consensus and work in the same direction.
I would like to use this article as a response for what F
has asked for sharing my opinion on above management work model described in yellow background and my point of view
about business organizations have built up management policies or not for
reference. And, what’s your idea?! Please
business organizations be invited to share ideas and submit articles to this

This is my opinion: Where there is a boss, there is policies👈👈👈 Therefore,
there is always policies no matter it is a company, an organization or even it
is a stall of your [small sized] business, please do not consider [policies] is
an annoying thing; policies are ways bosses want to use in management, or, it is
a management method, how it is possible [it doesn’t need policies?].
1.
Those
who manage company K [have already decided]: K doesn’t need to build up
management policies; on the other hand, K’s policy is [it is not allowed to
build up management policies], or, K’s policy is [to build up management
policies is a violation of K’s rule].
However,
the above statement is not valid, it is because [this decision] is a kind of
policy.👈👈👈 What’s your idea?!
Some
people think the so called SOP or written policies is binding hands and feet,
bureaucratic and no work efficiency👈👈👈 If
you want to refute this idea but don't know how to express it effectively,
here's an idea.👉👉👉Why
not you consult this person:
(1)Please let me know how
you measure the work efficiency?!
(2)Maybe, those management
policies you mentioned is designed
inappropriately, it is not
the company doesn’t need management policies; what do you think?!

This blog would like to recommend policies format related

Those
who manage company K [have already decided]: [Key employees will be invited to
discuss big events and participate in the discussion, make consensus and people
work in the same direction].
Hence,
this work model is a kind of work procedure, it is the management model of this
company:
(1)
It
has defined what kind of things are [big events].
(2)
It
has defined what kind of employees are [key employees].
(3)
All
work operations which align with (1), it must invite those of (2) to join the
discussion and make consensus and do the work.
The ways K defined (1) and (2) is a kind of management
policies, do you agree?! And, actually, there are policies in K, it is just K doesn’t
feel it 👈👈👈👉👉👉 Policies are everywhere, what bosses say is the management
model of the companies, it is the policies!
[I’m not saying it is bosses’ work responsibilities to build
up all the management policies; please refer to Policies; What to Write, By WHOM?! 👈👈👈What is the purpose that Bosses hire professional management
persons?!👉👉👉 To assist them to manage the companies, right?!]

Work
hour and salary: In order to obey the law, K must define normal work hours,
overtime pay and leave regulation, those result of the regulation are the management
policies involving work hours and salary of the company.
Otherwise: Please
assume there is an employee only work 3 hours a day and requesting for 1 day
salary, is it acceptable?
However, K would
provide some kind of feedback to this employee based on a particular standard,
this standard is the management policy in work hours and salary aspects.👈👈👈Do you still
remember K said there is no fixed management policies in the company?!
Would
you like to ask: Does it mean we only need to use the laws as the management
policies?! 👈👈👈Company K’s defined normal work hours may less than the number defined in law =more
beneficial to employees than the number defined in law, therefore, how Company K
defines may not be the same as what law has said, it can be adjusted legally under the scope laws has defined,
and that fixed way company K uses is K’s management policy.
4. Expense reimbursement process, approve and not to approve: There
is a employee, A, working for K, and A would like to request for TWD50,000.-
for clothes A bought and A only wears it for working in K👉👉👉A only wears it for work, so A hopes K to
pays for it, and, it doesn’t need managers to approve it /because there is no standard
approval policy👈👈👈Is
it allowed to do it in this way?
K
will respond accordingly to a particular standard, and, that standard used is
the management policy for the expense reimbursement request process.👈👈👈Do
you still remember K said there is no fixed management policies in the company?!
5.
Products
or services price definition: There is an employee, B, working for K, and B
thinks the sales price of K’s products or services is too expensive, so B
decreases the sales price by himself. Can B do that or not?
K will
respond based on a standard, and that standard is the management policy of the
products or services pricing work procedures of the company.👈👈👈Do
you still remember K said there is no standard management policies in the
company?!
Above all, all those【particular
standards】 or principles is a kind of management
policies, if there is no defined fixed work models for employees’ work
compliance purpose, they need to raise discussion every time once there is
work, it would spend much time in it; more than that, time is money, do you think there is management policy in
the business organizations or not?! Does it need to build up the policies?! How many management policies a company
needs to build up is a complete policies system?!
Please let people know how you define the completeness of the internal management policies of
a business organization.
- Does it need to build up for every day work operations?!
- For work process happens once within 500 years, does the company need to
build up a policy to manage it?!
- People don’t really what is defined or not👈👈👈Therefore, do people need to worry
about the problem of completeness of the management policies implementation?!
