Hi, this is Emily
from Taiwan, the author of
Whatsyouridea1996.
I’m a learner of
my interested religious knowledge, however, I have no related diploma, and I’m
not a professional, not a witch, either. And I don’t work for any kind of
religious organization.

In my understanding, it is “chanting” mantra, rather than to “read” it.
There are Buddha mantras, Daoist or deity mantras
or any other mantra of other religions, no matter who created their mantras,
they were saying, words, when being putting together, they will generate energy
which can influence us or others. Hence, positive mantra can help people and
negative mantra hurts people；it seems, the “law of conservation of energy” can explain the religious
term, Karma, that is, when people use positive mantra to send blessing to
others, blessing will come to the senders themselves one day, this is a
positive cycle of positive mantra chanting and vice versa. People who help
others help themselves, people who hurt others hurt themselves is the proof of
the theory. Do you agree with this idea?!
I only want to discuss positive energy to help
others in this post.
Mantras or spells are usually be taken as a kind of
tool of self-protection, now I would like to divide them into 2 kinds of
similes, one of the similes is a real
gun ( the owners need to get professional license before having and using
it), and the other is a dumbbell (everyone
can have it and use it)：
1.A real gun：People need to
obtain formal training and get licenses in order to have it and use it. For
example：Jìng tiāndì shén zhòu( in Chinese,
it is “淨天地神咒”, it means “the spell of purifying the space”；only those who has
earned the certification of being a mage or Daoist Priest and possess some
level of【skill】, thus, they can
use this【skill】 to trigger the
spell to purify the environments they are involved, hence, only Daoist Priest
and Mage can chant this kind of spell. People who don’t have that kind of 【skill】but would like to
chant that spell, it probably needs to consume other kind of energy from these
people, such as【bliss and virtue】 to make up the
lack of 【skill】 in order to
trigger the power of the spell.
On the other hand,
in the internet, there are professional Daoist
sharing Jìng tiāndì shén zhòu and
says everyone can chant it, it’s
purpose is to remove and purify negative energy or invisible entity in the
environment; I respect their good intention of sharing, however, I dare not to
chant it accordingly. In my opinion,「purify」is to initiate the
action of 「expelling away or removing away others」, it needs to be
done by people who have already had some specific skills, otherwise, the
performers would have not enough capability to protect themselves from being revenge
by those invisible. Thus, it is better the ordinary people not to take the initiative
to chant this spell.

2.Dumbbell：Everyone can try to use it, do appropriate practicing to protect
ourselves. Such as：Golden
Lights Deity Spell(=金光神咒), Medicine
Buddha Sutra(=藥師灌頂真言) and、6 words Guan-yin
Sutra(=六字大明咒).
Golden Lights Deity Spell：it is advised by Taipei
Hsing-Tian Kong, a famous temple in Taiwan.

I define them as
spells, mantras or sutra that ordinary people can chant because they are
formally advised by legally registered temple and referral by books officially
published by formal organization encouraging ordinary using them. And their purposes
and effects focus on protecting people who chant those spell, rather than
expelling or controlling others.
Please be advised to be cautious about information you got
from internet or Youtube, and if you would like to learn from them, please
consider to do some verification before studying it；they were shared out of kindness,
however, we are not sure people who share this kind of information have already
had deep understand of religion or spell or not. This is why I won’t learn the
things I found in internet directly, I’ll do some verification.
And, if you would like to
chant mantra or sutra, please also be advised to consult to people who work for
temple or religious organization and see whether those you would like to do is
appropriate to you or not.
You may have questions about how to define the right temple or organization
for your consulting; besides famous temple, and in Taiwan, I usually check
their official tax affairs registration record in the governmental website( this function only shows in traditional Chinese version)：

And, if you believe in Karma, and the law of conservation of energy,please also be advised not to use spell to hurt others, especially not to have this kind of idea, intention also creates karma; do you believe this kind of idea?!
It’s worse if you
pay to others doing bad spell to hurt others for you. In my understandings, there is reincarnations in the world, people bring
their good and bad karma from past lives; if people use spell to hurt others,
no matter what the reason is, their huge amount of good karma will decrease,
or, bad karma will increase significantly accordingly.
The nature of
casting incantation for revenge and taking legal action to seek for justice are
different, the former is hurting others secretly and the latter is taking
actions formally to claim justice, I hope you would agree this opinion.
In Buddhism, they think chanting sutras or mantras will generate
positive energy or bliss and virtue, and the chanters can intentionally use
this good energy to make wish
fulfillment or send blessing to others. In the same reason, in my article, 【#WorkEthic

matter how difficult it is, we shouldn’t work against things of the righteous, I said, there was a Master told me I may be casted bad spell and he
advised I chant 10,000 times Golden
Lights Deity Spell to break the
curse, and finally I did it, when I what I wish for, I add also added these
words：「Please send the black magic to the senders, and those senders lose their
capability to hurt others immediately and forever, all has no harm to Buddha
pupil XXX (me)；people who send
blessing to Buddha pupil XXX (me) also get the same blessing.」 And, in the beginning, I also said：「Please○○○ Buddha be in
charge of my wish fulfillment….. 」, so, let Buddha make the decision whether my
wish will be fully fulfilled or partially. I believe everything will be arranged properly by the universe, Buddha or Deity。 I didn’t intentionally do harm to others, I sent bad things they sent
to me back to them and hope they can’t do anything bad to others in the future.

When we change our mind, our thoughts would change accordingly, when our
thoughts change, the surroundings would change for us. I got this idea after I chant
some Buddha sutras, though, some of my wish has not been fulfilled yet, I think
it is divine timing issue, it is impossible everything will change 360 degree suddenly
just because we do chanting. Things have their own path and time, the related
counterparts also need to learn their lessons before transforming into those we
need. And, not only timing, but places and people need to be the right one for
